What you get

Every chapter, in the order you will read them

  1. 01The opening letter
Written first, and written from the whole chart at once. The thread that runs through your placements, said in plain language before any table appears. Every later section is written against it, so the book reads as one argument rather than twelve.
  2. 02What stands out
Four to six things that are genuinely unusual in your chart, each tied to the placement that makes it so. Not a horoscope opening. The things an astrologer would notice in the first two minutes and would want you to know before anything else.
  3. 03Your nature
How you come across, what actually drives you, how you think and decide, the shadow the same placements cast, and how the people closest to you experience all of it. Five readings of one chart, because a person is not one sentence.
  4. 04Where you stand today
The mahadashaThe big period, six to twenty years of a single graha. It sets the weather of that stretch of life, and the smaller periods inside it set the days., antardashaThe sub-period inside a mahadasha, months to a couple of years long. Most of the datable turns in a life show up at this level. and pratyantardashaThe third level down, a few weeks to a few months. Useful for timing inside a year, and far too fine to plan a decade by. running right now, with the date each one closes, the transits standing over them, and where Sade SatiThe roughly seven and a half years Saturn takes to cross the sign before your Moon, your Moon sign itself, and the one after. It asks for patience, not panic. falls for you. The period you are living in, and a few concrete things for the months in hand.
  5. 05Your life, period by period
Every antardashaThe sub-period inside a mahadasha, months to a couple of years long. Most of the datable turns in a life show up at this level. from your birth to age 84, each with its exact opening and closing date, your age across it, and what those two lords do in your chart rather than in general. Each window is marked strong, mixed or testing, and each era opens with a paragraph on what that whole stretch of life is about.
  6. 06The years ahead
The next thirty-six months, cut into windows at the points where something actually changes, with the transits that fall inside each one. For every window, the theme, one thing worth doing and one thing worth leaving alone.
  7. 07The nine areas of life
The same lifeline cut nine ways: work, money, love, marriage, family and home, health, education, travel, and the inner life. For each, the placements the reading rests on, only the years that genuinely move it, the one thing to watch, and what helps.
  8. 08Yogas and doshas
The combinations the classical texts name and attach a result to, loudest first, each with the cancellation or the weakening its own rules leave it. The doshas are stated the same way: where ManglikMars sitting in one of the houses counted sensitive for marriage. It is common, it often cancels out, and on its own it is not a reason to stop., Kaal SarpAll seven grahas hemmed in between Rahu and Ketu. Such a chart works harder for its results, and the reading turns on which axis it forms across. or Sade SatiThe roughly seven and a half years Saturn takes to cross the sign before your Moon, your Moon sign itself, and the one after. It asks for patience, not panic. applies the report says so and then states every classical cancellation standing against it, which is usually far more than a reader has ever been told. Sade Sati passes are dated, past and future both.
  9. 09What helps
Mantra, practice, charity, the days that carry each one, and what to leave alone. Chosen for your chart and for the periods it is running, not a list anybody could be handed.
  10. 10The closing word
The last page, written once everything above it has been said. What is worth carrying out of the book, and what is worth holding lightly. It is the page most people go back and read a second time.
  11. 11The workings
All nine grahasOne of the nine: the seven visible bodies plus Rahu and Ketu, the two lunar nodes. A graha is read as a force at work, not as a lump of rock. with sign, degree, nakshatraThe star the Moon is passing through. What this is

A book about one birth

Vedic astrology divides a life into periods called dashasA period ruled by one graha, running for a fixed number of years. Dashas are how a chart is read forward in time instead of as a snapshot., each ruled by one grahaOne of the nine: the seven visible bodies plus Rahu and Ketu, the two lunar nodes. A graha is read as a force at work, not as a lump of rock. and each running a fixed length. The graha ruling a period colours those years according to what it does in your particular chart, which is why two people living through the same ShaniSaturn. Work, delay, discipline and old age. Nothing it gives arrives early, and very little of what it gives is ever taken back. period do not live through the same years.

Jeevan Granth walks every one of those periods, from the one running at your birth to the one closing at eighty-four. Each gets its dates, your age across it, a verdict, and the placement that decided the verdict. It is the document an astrologer would write for you if they had a week and no other clients.

You can read a whole one first. The sample Jeevan Granth is a complete report written for one birth chart, every chapter of it, free to read once you sign in.

After you pay

Made for you, not for a sign

Once the payment is done there is one optional page. It asks where your life stands today, how you grew up, the turning points so far, and what you want the report to speak to. Four boxes, and every one of them can be left empty.

A chart often leaves two doors open, and what you tell us decides which one the reading walks through. Where you name a year, the Granth checks it against your periods and says whether the two agree. Skip the page and the Granth is written from the chart alone, which is a complete report either way.

Why it can be trusted

How it is made

  • 01

The engine computes. The astrologer writes.

Every position, date and strength figure in the report comes from the same calculation engine behind the free kundliYour birth chart: the sky drawn as twelve houses, exactly as it stood over your birthplace at the minute you were born., at the true historical timezone for your birth place and minute. Nothing in the reading is estimated, and no date in it was written by hand.

  • 02

Cancellations are applied before you read a word.

The classical rules cancel each other constantly, and most reports ignore that because checking is work. Here a finding the texts would cancel is cancelled, a finding they argue over is marked as argued, and a weakened one is carried at its weakened strength.

  • 03

It says the difficult things too.

A reading that only flatters is not worth keeping. Where your chart is genuinely mixed the report says both halves, and where a period asks for care it says what helps in the same breath. It never predicts death, illness or whether a child will come.

Questions people ask

How is this different from the free kundli?
The free kundliYour birth chart: the sky drawn as twelve houses, exactly as it stood over your birthplace at the minute you were born. is the chart: the placements, the divisional charts, the dashaA period ruled by one graha, running for a fixed number of years. Dashas are how a chart is read forward in time instead of as a snapshot. tables. This is the reading of that chart, across your whole life, with a dated verdict on every period and the years that matter for each part of life. One is the map; this is the journey written out.
What if I do not know my exact birth time?
Then this is not the right purchase yet. The whole report is built on the lagnaThe sign rising in the east at your birth, and the first house of the chart. It changes about every two hours, which is why the birth time matters. and the dashaA period ruled by one graha, running for a fixed number of years. Dashas are how a chart is read forward in time instead of as a snapshot., and both move with the minute. A time you are fifteen minutes wrong about can change the rising sign. Ask an elder or check the hospital record first; the free kundliYour birth chart: the sky drawn as twelve houses, exactly as it stood over your birthplace at the minute you were born. will tell you what a wrong time would change.
How do I receive it?
It is written for your chart alone, which takes a few hours. Check back in about an hour and it is waiting in your account, and if you signed in with an email we send you the link as well. That link opens the whole report on your phone, so you can read it in bed or send it to your mother, and there is a PDF on the same page to download and keep.
Do I have to fill in anything after paying?
Only if you want to. After the payment there is one optional page that asks about your life so far. Skip it and the Granth is written from the chart alone, which is a complete report either way.
Can I buy it for someone else?
Yes, and many people do. Enter their birth details rather than yours. The report is written to be read by the person it is about, so it makes a reasonable thing to hand to a parent, a partner or a grown child.
