Birth details you type

The date, time and place you enter are used to compute your chart at the moment you ask. They are processed transiently, in the request that draws the chart. Whether they are then kept depends entirely on whether you are signed in. See the next two entries, which say exactly what happens in each case.

Charts you save

If you are signed in, a chart you ask us for is saved to your account automatically, so you do not have to ask, and we do not nag you to. A chart you opened from somebody else’s link is not: it is theirs, not yours, so it never enters your account on its own. You can delete any saved chart at any time, from “Your kundlis” or from your account page.

Photographs you send for a reading

A face or palm reading needs a photograph, so the two reading pages ask for one. Sending it is the only way we ever get one: nothing on this site opens your camera by itself, and we ask for a photograph nowhere else. What happens to it is worth stating plainly, because a photograph of your face is more personal than anything else here.

Your browser shrinks the picture before it leaves your device. It is then stored in a private area that no other visitor can reach and no search engine can index, under your account, and it is sent once to the company whose model reads it for us, Anthropic, whose servers are outside India. They read it to write your reading and do not use it to train anything. We do not run face recognition on it, we do not try to work out who you are from it, and we never show it to another visitor.

We keep the picture for as long as there is room for it. Storage here is small and finite, so once a thousand photographs are held, the oldest is deleted to make space for the newest. That is a rolling limit rather than a promise about time, and it is the honest way to say it. The reading itself is text and stays on your account after its photograph has gone. You can delete a photograph yourself, at any time, from your account page.

If you are not signed in

A chart you ask us to work out is still kept, but against this browser rather than against you: we hold the birth details you typed and nothing that says whose they are. There is no account, no email address, and no way for us to connect one browser to another or to a person. Your recent kundlis and your last birth details also stay in your own browser, so the site can offer them back when you return. A chart you opened from somebody else’s link is never kept for you, because those details are not yours. If you sign in later, the charts this browser made move into your account and become yours to delete.

Analytics

Google Analytics sets cookies so we can see anonymous usage patterns: which pages are read, from which cities, at what times of day. It tells us what to build next. We do not sell or share this with anyone.

Your preferences

Theme and other convenience settings stay in your own browser’s storage. They make the site remember how you like it, and they never reach our servers.

Signing in with Google

If you sign in with Google we receive your email address, and use it only to hold your account together. Nothing is posted anywhere on your behalf.

• —We never share your birth details with a third party.
• —We read nothing beyond what the tool in front of you needs to do its work.

Any chart you saved can be deleted from your account, one at a time or all at once. If you ask us to erase your account entirely, we remove the personal data tied to you.

A photograph you sent for a reading can be deleted on its own, from your account page, without deleting the reading it produced. If you ask us to erase your account, every photograph you have sent goes with it.

The one exception is a payment record. Where a payment has been made, the law requires us to keep the record of the transaction, but we retain it without the link back to you, so it is a receipt in a ledger, not a thread to your identity.

We publish our own short videos, the daily panchang and rashifal, to our YouTube channel, Modern Panditji. The uploads are made by our own internal publishing tool, which uses YouTube API Services.

That tool works only on our own channel, with our own credentials. It does not collect, access or store any information about you or about any other YouTube user. The one record it keeps is the list of video IDs we ourselves uploaded, kept so the same video is not posted twice, and deleted with the videos it describes. No visitor to this site ever signs in to the tool, and it cannot see your Google account.

When you watch our videos on YouTube itself, YouTube’s own rules apply there: the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Access already granted to the tool can be revoked at any time from Google security settings. Questions about any of this are welcome at contact@modernpanditji.com.
