Sharad Purnima dates
Computed year by year from the Moon and the Sun. Each row shows the tithi the festival sits on and the lunar month in both the amanta and purnimanta reckonings, because the two name the same month differently during krishna paksha.
Also called: Kojagara Puja, Kojagiri Purnima

The rule
What the date is derived from, stated so you can check it.
Ashwina Purnima, the full moon held to be the brightest of the year. Kojagara Puja is kept through the night, so nishita rather than sunrise settles the date, and in 2025 that is the difference between 6 and 7 October.
The day is settled by the tithi at nishita, solar midnight.
