Moonrise and moonset are the ones falling inside this calendar date. The Moon keeps its own roughly 24-hour-50-minute day, so the two often sit on opposite sides of midnight.

How this page is worked out

Sunrise and sunset are computed by our own calculation engine for Nagpur’s own coordinates (21.1458°N, 79.0882°E), using the disc-centre-with-refraction convention that Indian panchangs use. The tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana are sidereal with the Lahiri ayanamsa, the Indian civil standard. Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika and the choghadiya are eighths of the real interval between sunrise and sunset here — not of a nominal twelve-hour day, which is why they differ from a printed almanac made for somewhere else. All times are Indian Standard Time.
